DaBaby: When You Act Like The Contents Of Your Diaper

So last year Rick Ross pretty much shocked the shit out of me by holding Tory Lanez’s feet to the fire.

“Money Falls Out”, the lead song from Tory’s 2020 album “Daystar” (also his first name) touts lyrics where he denies shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

Rick Ross apparently didn’t take too kindly to the song, especially with the entire project being released the day after it was decided no charges would be brought against the officers that murdered Breonna Taylor.

Rick posted an Instagram story that said in part,

“Dropping that project… just outta respect for Breonna Taylor bruh, we gotta respect these sisters. That ain’t how you address the accusations you facing.”

Yup, Rick Ross said “…respect these sisters.”

Though not a huge leap for the character of rappers in any way, even this small level of accountability in rap is seldom seen, especially from men and especially from Rick Ross, someone who I never even thought had the capacity to challenge any level of ignorance from a co-worker as it relates to women, given his music.

Fast forward to a few days ago and DaBaby’s random tantrum (babies have those) at Rolling Loud, and I’m wishing Rick had said something instead of T.I.
